Sara Buschkühl was born in Würzburg in 1980 and lives as a classical double bass player in Stockholm.

Sara Buschkühl has dedicated herself to the art of silhouette cutting since she was 18 years old and
thus gains a lot of attention among silhouette lovers at home and abroad.
Her works have been shown several times at exhibitions in Frankfurt/Main and Würzburg and have been published in various publications (Buchverlag P. Hellmund: "Gaulimauli"; Proprius: Rebaroque, "The Wolf Gang").
In addition, her commissioned and Ateljer works include portrait drawings, paintings and photography.
In addition to direct contact, a selection of silhouette originals has also been available since 2017 at liten lycka in Wuerzburg. Since 2005 numerous unique pieces of her freehand created motives have been sold.

Sara Buschkühl studied double bass at the Hochschule für Musik u. darstellende Kunst Frankfurt a. Main, at
the Royal Academy of Music in Stockholm and the University of Music Freiburg i. Brsg,
where she received her artistic diploma in the class of Prof. Bozo Paradzik. Afterwards she completed the master class at the Stockholm Conservatory of Music.
Since 2010 she lives and works as a musician in Sweden, where she is regularly engaged by
leading Scandinavian orchestras such as the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra, the Royal Opera in Stockholm, the Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra and the Drottningholm Baroque Ensemble, and has worked with renowned conductors as Daniel Harding, Marc Minkowski, Herbert Blomstedt and Riccardo Muti.
Numerous concert appearances and tours have also taken her to Norway, Denmark, Italy, Austria, Poland, Germany and Croatia.
In addition, her special artistic interest lies in early music. So Sara Buschkühl is also
a sought-after interpreter of sacred and chamber music works and performs with renowned
Baroque ensembles at home and abroad (Drottningholms Barockensemble, Freiburger Barockorchester, Muenchner Bachsolisten).
In addition to CD recordings with the Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra and Baroque recordings for the Swedish Radio, she also recorded ABBA's globally anticipated new songs with Benny Andersson and Björn Ulveus in 2019.

Papa Buschkuehl
My father's crib
In den letzten Jahren wurde ich immer wieder danach gefragt - von Verwandten und Freunden - dass man sich gerne erinnert und sie am liebsten mal wieder sehen würde.
Nun habe ich mich zu dieser Hommage an meinen Papa entschlossen, und möchte seinem Kunstwerk auf BuschkuehlArts einen Platz widmen. Unter "Portfolio -> Papas Krippe" sind weitere Detailbilder zu betrachten.
Angefangen hatte alles 1973 mit ein paar Steinen aus der Röhn. Daraus entstand im ersten Jahr ein wunderschöner Stall, der im Laufe der Jahre mit der Hl.Familie, Hirten und Schafen aus echtem Schafsfell erweitert wurde, mit einem Brunnen, den Hl. Drei Königen, einer Feuerstelle, mit Stroh, Hund und Henne..
Im Herbst verschwand Papa immer im Keller und man konnte als Kind die Spannung kaum aushalten, was da nun wieder entstehen würde. Manches Jahr durfte man als einzige Verbündete mit in die Werkstatt und zusehen, wie Esel und Ochse entstanden, schließlich sogar ein unglaublich naturgetreuer Elefant und ein Kamel, damit die Weisen nicht mehr alles selber tragen mussten. In der Krippe wurde es langsam entsprechend eng, und so stand eines Jahres - erweitert auf dem Fensterbrett - der vollendete Palast des Königs Herodes.
Mir und meiner Schwester wurden bei jeder Gelegenheit diverse kaputte Halskettchen oder ein unbrauchbarer Knopf entwendet, um daraus einem König wieder die Krone zu richten oder den Elefanten zu schmücken.
Im Sommer ist bei Wanderungen immer ein kleines Hölzchen hier und da mitgegangen, um damit im Herbst Zaun und Stall zu reparieren. In jedem Fall war die Spannung jedes Jahr groß.
Als biblisch gesehen längst nichts mehr fehlte kamen die fränkischen Fingerabdrucke zur Geltung - eine kleine Reihe Weinberge, ein Bocksbeutel im Korb. Und nachdem schließlich sogar die eigene Familie - als Engel schwebend - musizierend über dem Stall trohnte, entstand zu guterletzt ein Hirte, der in Trachtenkleidung und Aussehen ein Abbild des Erbauers war.
In dankbarer Erinnerung an meinen Künstler-Papa, Freude über den Erhalt dieser Bastelarbeit, und für alle, die zu Weihnachten gerne an die Buschkühl`sche Krippe zurückdenken. Detailbilder
